Summary / Abstract :
Former Cambodian Head of State Prince Norodom Sihanouk was scheduled to return to his beloved Cambodia this week along a path paved with historic irony and fraught with future uncertainties. Now president of the newly formed anti-Vietnamese coalition, the Prince was due to cross the Thai border into North-Western Cambodia for a moving reunion with his people - an event that was to precede a schedule meeting with partners Son Sann and Khieu Samphan to declare formally an alliance which carries far more political than military significance.
