Samdech Norodom Sihanouk, President of Democratic Kampuchea and Madame Sihanouk arrived in Beijing on July 17. Premier Zhao praised Samdech Sihanouk as a patriot who commands the respect of the Kampuchean people and a farsighted statesman who has made outstanding contributions to safe guarding his country's independence, soveriegnty and territorial integrity. He said "The Samdech has exerted great efforts to bring about the coalition of various patriotic forces in Kampuchea. We fully support Samdech's patriotic acts".
