Summary / Abstract :

Vietnam forces in Kampuchea needed a full six years to establish the Heng Samrin regime in all parts of the country. According to a statement by Foreign Affairs Minister of Vietnam Nguyem-Ka-Tacha, to a Reuter's correspondent on the tenth anniversary of saigon's liberation, another decade will be necesasry to consolidate that regime, especially in the northern and northwestern provinces where the Kampuchean liberation forces are engaged in considerable guerrilla activity.
