Le prince Norodom Sihanouk et le Chef des Khmers Rouges M.Khieu Sampahn, se sont rencontrés, le mercredi 14 Décembre à fère-en Tardenois, dans la région parisienne. A l'issue de celle rencontre M. Khieu Samphan a réitéré son soutien au plan de règlement en cing points du prince du problèm Cambodgien, qu'il a qualifié de "programme national pour le présent et l'avenir."
