Summary / Abstract :
|
Were the S-21 child cadres perpetrators or Victims? How were they perpetrators, and how were they victims? I argue that the S-21 child cadres must be seen as victims fo the Khmer Rouge regime, which contrasts with the traditional view that S-21 cadres were simply perpetrators. These cadres worked in the most secret and systematic execution center of the regimes, and oversaw the execution of some 20,000 people. I will explain how innocent boys from Region 31 were transformed into young revolutionaries, and finally became S-21 cadres.
