A younger brother named Roun Matt died in Tuol Sleng prison:
My younger brother, Roun Matt, lost his life in Tuol Sleng Prison. About two years before Phnom Penh was liberated by the Khmer Rouge, my younger brother and some other villagers were conscripted into the Khmer Rouge army. A year later, my husband, Loas Sleh, went to Tumpek Mountain at Ta Khmao and brought my younger brother back home to Cham Leu Village. My younger brother was hospitalized at that time, suffering from malaria. After he recovered from his illness, his commander again took him from home, so he could return to work. I didn’t know the name of his commander. My younger brother has disappeared since that time. Only recently did I realize through the Documentation Center of Cambodia that my younger brother died in Tuol Sleng Prison. |
