Mean Poeu, male, is 49 years old. He lives in Kbal Spean village, Malai sub-district, Malai district, Batambang Province. Poeu was born in Dam Thnam village, Angkor Meas sub-district, Chhouk district, Kampot province. He studied until grade nine of the old system. His father was named Mean Khorn and his mother was named Ly Se. In 1972, Poeu went to visit his grandfather in Boeung Tuk sub-district. When he was on his way home from this visit, the Khmer Rouge suddenly destroyed Enthnou Bridge in Kampot province. Therefore, Poeu went back to live with his elder cousin. One day, while he went fishing, the Khmer Rouge arrested him and forced him to stay with them and to drive the cart transporting provisions to the front. In 1974, the Khmer Rouge liberated the factory in Kampot. In 1975, Poeu joined the children៌s unit that guarded durian farms in Teuk Chhou district. When he grew bigger, Poeu was assigned to work in a mobile work brigade where he worked in the fields and built dikes and levees until 1979. When Vietnam entered [Cambodia], Poeu fled with the Khmer Rouge soldiers to the border, finally arriving at Malai. During the travel, Poeu saw many patients along the road who had no food. In 1980, the Khmer Rouge started reorganizing its forces in Unit 450, led by Sok Pheap and Sau Hong. In 1987, Poeu stepped on the land mine during the fighting and lost one leg.

ធ្វើការនោកងចល័តស្រែ ជីកប្រឡាយលើកភ្លឺរហូតដល់ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៩។ នៅពេលវៀតណាមចូល ពៅ បាននាំគ្នារត់មកជាមួយ ទាហានខែ្មរក្រហមរហូតទៅដល់ព្រំដែន រហូតមកដល់ម៉ាឡៃ។ ពេល ធ្វើដំណើរតាមផ្លូវគាត់បានឃើញអ្នកជំងឺជាច្រើននាក់នៅតាមផ្លូវ ដោយ សារអត់បាយ។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៨០ ខែ្មរក្រហមចាប់ផេ្ដីមរៀប ចំកំលាំងឡើងវិញនៅកងពលលេខ៤៥០ ដែលដឹកនាំដោយ សុខ ភាព និងសូ ហុង។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៨៧ ពេលចេញទៅច្បាំងគាត់បាន ជាន់គ្រាប់ មីនហើយត្រូវពិការជើងមួយចំហៀងរហូតមកដល់សព្វ ថៃ្ងនេះ។ |
