Sok Laing. Male, is 53 years old. He lives in Wat Chhass village, Malai sub-district, Malai district, Batambang Province. Laing was born in Ta Kung village, Kuttasat sub-district, Serey Soaphorn district, Batambang province. His father was named Saur Song and his mother was named Sopha Lai. Laing has four siblings.
When the Khmer Rouge took over, Laing was evacuated to live in Chrui Sdao village, Chrui Mtes in Thmor Kol district in order to work in a mobile work brigade. The mobile work brigade worked in the fields and built the Kumpingpuoy dam. Later, Laing was assigned to dye clothes in Anlong Svay. When the Vietnamese nearly invaded, Laing was assigned to make fertilizer and grow vegetables in a mobile work brigade in Prey Leav. There, hee had a friend named Saroeun. Saroeun secretly picked Angkar៌s pumpkins, and he was then arrested. The Khmer Rouge announced in a meeting that Saroeun would be killed. When the Khmer Rouge regime collapsed in 1979, the Khmer Rouge cadres propagandized to the workers, saying that the Vietnamese would come and cut their throats with the midribs of palm leaves. Therefore, a number of people fled to live in Malai along the border with the Khmer Rouge cadres. Later, Laing joined the Khmer Rouge in order to fightthe Vietnamese, and fought until 1996. សុង ឡាំង ភេទប្រុស អាយុ៥៣ឆ្នាំ រស់នៅភូមិវត្ដចាស់ ឃុំម៉ាឡៃ ស្រុកម៉ាឡៃ ខេត្ដបន្ទាយមានជ័យ។ ឡាំង មានស្រុកកំណើតនៅ ភូមិតាគង់ ឃុំគុត្ដសត ស្រុកម៉ាឡៃ ខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង។ គាត់មានឪពុក ឈ្មោះ សូរ សុង និងម្ដាយឈ្មោះ សុផា ឡៃ ហើយមានបងប្អូន៤ នាក់។ នៅពេលខែ្មរក្រហមចូលកាន់អំណាច ឡាំង ត្រូវបានជម្លៀស ទៅនៅភូមិជ្រោយស្ដៅ ជ្រោយ មេ្ទសនៅក្នុងស្រុកថ្មគោលដើម្បី ធើ្វការនៅក្នុងកងចល័តធ្វើស្រែ និងលើកអាងកំពីងពួយ។ ក្រោយ មកទៀត គាត់ត្រូវបានចាត់តាំងឱ្យទៅជ្រលក់ពណ៌សំលៀកបំពាក់ នៅអន្លង់ស្វាយ។ នៅពេលវៀតណាមជិតចូលមកដល់ ឡាំង ត្រូវ
