Kung Vanntheng, male, 50 years old and lives in Kandal village, Malai commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province. Vanntheng was born in Chheuteal Phluoh village, Kanh Chor commune, Chhlong district, Kratie province. Vanntheng has four sisters and five brothers. Vanntheng has one son and three daughters.
In 1977, Vanntheng was sent to Phnom Penh and served as a train worker in Phnom Penh. Vanntheng had duty to construct concrete pipe, concrete bridge; and a new railroad. The railroad was constructed from Phnom Penh to Kampong Som through Pich Nil. The railroad had uncompleted yet when the Vietnamese arrived in Cambodia in 1979. During the construction preceding the workers built concrete bridge, pipe from Phnom Penh to Kampong Som through Samrong. Vanntheng joined construction team and built many bridges in deferent places such as Moha Saing, Sre Khlong as well. Khun was a chief of the new railroad. The KR did not start to build train stations along the new railroad and they just built concrete bridges and pipes when the Vietnamese entered Cambodia in 1979.
The railroad construction was stopped and the workers fled to Cambodia €“ Thailand border in January 1979. Vanntheng and other workers took three months period to reach the border during that time and they faced many obstacles, they had no food and effected malaria diseased. When Vanntheng arrived in the border, he was given rice through Pol Pot, Nuon Chea, Khieu Sanphan, Ieng Sary who received rice from China, Thailand. Red Cross also provided rice and medicine to them. Vanntheng was in Malai between 1979 and 1985 and then, Vantheng fled to Thailand territory because the Vietnamese occupied Malai area.

គង់ វ៉ាន់ថេង ភេទប្រុស អាយុ៥០ឆ្នាំ រស់នៅភូមិកណ្ដាល ឃុំម៉ាឡៃ ស្រុកម៉ាឡៃ ខេត្ដ បន្ទាយមានជ័យ។ វ៉ាន់ថេង មានស្រុកកំណើតនៅ ភូមិឈើទាលភេ្លាះ ឃុំកញ្ជរ ស្រុកឆ្លូង ខេត្ដក្រចេះ។ វ៉ាន់ថេង មាន បងប្អូន៩នាក់ ស្រី៤នាក់ ប្រុស៥នាក់។ ហើយ វ៉ាន់ថេង មានកូន ៤នាក់ ប្រុស១ ស្រី៣នាក់។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៧ វ៉ាន់ថេង បានឡើងមកភ្នំពេញ ដោយធ្វើជាកម្មករ រទេះភ្លើង។ ការងារដែល វ៉ាន់ថេង ធើ្វគឺ ធ្វើលូ ធ្វើស្ពាន និយាយរួម ធ្វើផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើងថ្មី។ ផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើងនេះគឺធ្វើពីភ្នំពេញ ទៅកំពង់សោម ហើយកាត់តាមពេជ្រនិល។ ផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើងនេះមិនទាន់បានសំរេចទេ ដល់ពេលមាន សង្គ្រាមឆ្នាំ១៩៧៩ ផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើងនេះទទួលបរាជ័យ។ មុននឹងបានផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើង គឺកម្មករទាំងអស់ ត្រូវធ្វើស្ពាន ហើយនិង ធ្វើលូ ដោយចាប់ផេ្ដីមពីភ្នំពេញ តាមសំរោង រហូតដល់កំពង់សោម។ វ៉ាន់ថេង ធ្វើស្ពានបានច្រើនកនែ្លង ណាស់ដូចជា មហាសាំង គេហៅ ស្រែថ្លុង។ ដោយសារតែផ្លូវ រទេះភ្លើងទើបនឹងបង្កើតឡើង គ្មាន កំណត់រ៉ាណាទេ ទើបធ្វើលូ និងស្ពានជាមុន។ ពេលដែលវៀតណាមវ៉ៃចូលមក គំរោងសាងសង់ផ្លូវរទេះភ្លើង ត្រូវបរាជ័យ ដូចេ្នះកម្មករទាំង អស់នាំគ្នារត់ ទំរាំតែមកដល់ព្រំដែន ថៃ វ៉ាន់ថេង ត្រូវចំណាយរយៈពេល៣ខែ ហើយអ្នកដឹកនាំនៅ អង្គភាពរទេះភ្លើងក៏មកជាមួយដែរ ឈ្មោះ ឃុន។ នៅពេលដែល រត់ជួបឧបសគ្គខ្លះ ដោយសារអត់បាយ និងជម្ងឺគ្រុនចាញ់ លុះទៅ ដល់ព្រំដែនទើបមានអង្ការហូប។ អង្ការបានតាមរយៈ ប៉ុល ពត, អ៊ុំ ខៀវ សំផន, អៀង សារី គាត់ជាអ្នក ដឹកនាំអីចឹងគាត់សុំជំនួយពីចិន និងថៃ ដើម្បីឱ្យផ្ដល់អង្ការ ឱ្យជនរងគ្រោះ ហើយកាកបាទក្រហម គេ ផ្ដល់ ជាថ្នាំពេទ្យ និងអង្ការ។ វ៉ាន់ថេង នៅម៉ាឡៃពី៧៩៨៥ ត្រូវរត់ទៅដីថៃ ព្រោះតែវៀតណាមវ៉ៃ យកម៉ាឡៃបាន។
