Chiep Sokh, female, 53 years old and lives in Kandal village, Malai commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province. Sokh was born in Ar-Kreach village, Prey Chhor commune, Kampong Trabek district, Prey Veng province. Sokh has three sisters and two brothers. Only one of her brother is still alive. Sokh៌s husband៌s name is Ven Sam-at, 50 years old. She has one daughter and another one son. Sokh៌s mother៌s name is Srun and her father, Khann. In 1975 joined medical unit in Prey Chhor commune. The unit was not far away from her house. In 1976, Sokh was sent to grow cotton trees in Krauch Chhmar district. There were around two thousand people in the unit. In late 1977, Sokh was sent to 6 Makara Hospital. The hospital was near Watt Phnom, Phnom Penh. Sokh was in Surgical Section. Sokh was not trained medical subject when she was to be the medical staff. She was only assigned to give medicine and injection to patients. Majorities of patients were injured soldiers who were sent from Cambodia €“Vietnam border by plane. Sokh told us that she had enough meals when she was in the hospital. The KR transported foods and fruits to the hospital៌s warehouse everyday. There were many sections in the hospital such as, surgical section, delivering baby section, general section as well. Ieng Thirith was chief at the hospital. Ieng Thirith always came to lead meeting session. In 1978 Sokh was sent to Salt Field Unit in Kampot province. There she was in medical section.
In 1979, Sokh fled to jungle. She said, she wanted to return her homeland, but she did not know a way backing home. So she had to follow other KR cadres. Sokh arrived in a village and the local people called Srok A-Chhuon! The village had many kind of tree fruit and tis had plenty of fruits at that time. She stayed there for several months and then, the Vietnamese fired heavy guns to the Village, Sokh and other KR fled into Thailand territory. ជៀប សុខ ភេទស្រី អាយុ៥៣ឆ្នាំ រស់នៅភូមិកណ្ដាល ឃុំម៉ាឡៃ ស្រុកម៉ាឡៃ ខេត្ដ បន្ទាយមានជ័យ។ សុខ មានស្រុកកំណើតនៅភូមិអាគ្រាជ ឃុំពៃ្រឈរ ស្រុកកំពង់ត្របែក ខេត្ដពៃ្រវែង។ សុខ មានបងប្អូន៥នាក់ ស្រី៣នាក់ ប្រុស២នាក់ តែស្លាប់អស់ប្រុស១នាក់។ គ្រួសាររបស់ សុខ មានឈ្មោះថា វ៉ែន សំអាត អាយុ៥០ឆ្នាំ ហើយ សុខ មានកូន២នាក់ ប្រុស១ ស្រី១នាក់។ ម្ដាយ សុខ ឈ្មោះ ស្រ៊ុន ឪពុកឈ្មោះ ខាន់។ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ សុខ បានធ្វើជាពេទ្យនៅឃុំ តែពេលហ្នឹងនៅមិនឆ្ងាយពីផ្ទះប៉ុន្មានទេ ដល់ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៦ ទើបសុខ គេហៅឱ្យទៅនៅក្រូចឆ្មារ ដោយគេឱ្យគាត់ដាំកប្បាស ប្រហែល១ពាន់ទៅ២ពាន់ មន្ទីរ។ លុះដល់ចុង៧៧ ទើបគេឱ្យគាត់ទៅភ្នំពេញ មានតួនាទីជាពេទ្យ នៅពេទ្យ៦មករា នៅផ្នែកវះ កាត់ ទីតាំងនៅជិតវត្ដភ្នំ។ ពេលដែលធ្វើជាពេទ្យមិនបានទទួលការបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាលទេ ចេះតែចាក់ថ្នាំ ទៅ ពេលខ្លះជា ពេលខ្លះមិនជា ហើយអ្នកជំងឺភាគច្រើនជាអ្នករបួស មិនសូវមានអ្នកជម្ងឺគ្រុនចាញ់ ទេ។ ហើយអ្នករបួសហ្នឹងភាគច្រើនមកពីតាមព្រំដែន ដែលមកតាមរយៈយន្ដហោះ។ ចំពោះរបប ហូបចុកវិញ មិនខ្វះទេ ព្រោះជាកនែ្លងអ្នកជម្ងឺ ឪម្ហូបដឹកទាំងឡានៗ ហើយផែ្លឈើពេញៗឃ្លាំងឱ។ ពេទ្យនៅទីនោះ មានច្រើនប្រភេទតាមជំនាញគេនីមួយៗ មានដូចជា ឆ្មប, វះកាត់ ហើយចាស់ក៏ មាន កេ្មងក៏មាន។ ប្រធានពេទ្យព៦ គឺ លោកស្រី អៀង ធីរិទ្ធ។ នៅទីនោះគេមានវគ្គរៀនសូត្រ។ សុខ នៅទីពេទ្យ ព៦ បានរយៈពេល១ឆ្នាំ ដល់ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៨ គាត់ត្រូវគេបញ្ជូនឱ្យទៅកំពត នៅស្រែ អំបិល តែទៅទីនោះគាត់នៅតែធ្វើជាពេទ្យដដែល។ បែក១៩៧៩ ចេះតែរត់ចូលពៃ្រ ចង់មកស្រុកដែល តែមិនស្គាល់ផ្លូវ យប់កនែ្លងណា សំរាកកនែ្លងហ្នឹង ហើយទៅដល់ស្រុកមួយគេហៅ ស្រុកអាឈួនៗ កនែ្លងនោះសំបូរផែ្លឈើណាស់។ នៅសំរាកទីនោះរាប់ខែ ដល់ហើយគេថា គេផ្លោងគ្រាប់ជិតដល់ហើយ នាំគ្នារត់ចូលពៃ្រទៀតរហូត ដល់ស្រុកថៃ។
