Kin Poeu, female, 49 years old and lives in Kandal village, Malai commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province. Poeu was born in Pring village, Angkanh commune, Prey Kabas district, Takeo province. Poeu៌s father៌s name is Kin Min and her mother, Nang. Peou has 7 siblings and 4 among her siblings died during the Pol Pot regime. Poeu៌s husband៌s name is Ros Peng. Poeu has three sons and one daughter.
Poeu went to school when she was 7 years old at Angkanh Pagoda Primary School. Poeu quit the school when she was at grade 11 (old system) because the Lon Nol made the coup detat.
In July 1974, Poeu joined a Mobile brigade unit in Angkanh commune for 7 months and then, Poeu was selected to Southwest Zone in 1975. There Poeu carried the earth at Angkor Borei dam, Southwest Zone for one year and Poeu was sent to Salt Field Unit in 1976. There Poeu carried salt from the fields to warehouse and flatted the ground of salt field. While they packed the earth they needed to sing the KR revolution song that made easy to pack the ground. Phal was chief of Salt Field Unit. In 1977, Poeu was sent to Rubber Plantation in Veal Rinh, Kampong Som with other 500 workers. In December 1977, Poeu was sent to Garment Factory in Phnom Penh. Thy was a chief of the Garment Factory. When the Vietnamese entered in Phnom Penh on January 7, 1979, Poeu was mobilized to Cambodia €“ Thailand border through western zone. Poeu took almost twelve months (January to December 1979) by walking from Phnom Penh to Malai.
