Int: A lot of people would say that this is not what a journalist photographer is supposed to be doing, Man: A lot of people would say that I think Dana was still a journalist and photographer. I think Dana was also concerned about not only hisown life but the people he was threwelling with. In the instance I related about this marine patrol. He was as much concerned about these young marine as he was about himself and couldn't tolerat incompetence in marine officer and there was a good deal of that I think. So I don't see really that there is a problem- there is no seperation really between being a good photographer and trying to operation the best maner possible when you are out in those situations.
