Khon Rorn, female, 60 years old, Khon Rorn, farmer, lives in Tuol Prasat village, Tumnup Dach commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province. She was born in Skul village, Stao commune, Treng district, Takeo province. Her husband៌s name is Un, former KR soldier of Division 801. She has a son and three daughters. Her father៌s name is Tit Chea and her mother៌s name is Chouy Sien. She has three brothers and three sisters. She is the first child of her family. In 1973, she followed young people in the village to join the revolution with KR movements in the jungle. In that time, she was sent to serve army in Tramkak district, better known as district 105, situated in Region 13. She was under control of Ta Mot. After military training, she stationed in Phnom Din along Cambodian-Vietnamese border. When KR came to take control in 1975, she was moved to work in Phnom Penh. She stationed in Khmuonh. There, she planted vegetable and worked at paddy field to support her unit. Sometimes she was assigned to cook a meal for KR participants whom were invited to attend the training at Olympic Stadium. Ron said that most of the participants were commune and sub-district cadres. In addition the training was led by Pol Pot. She also attended the annual anniversary of Communist Party of Kampuchea at the stadium. In late 1975, she joined Division 801 to station in Balung district, Ratankiri province. She was appointed to work in economic support unit. For her daily work, she did like what she stationed in Khmuonh. It meant that she had to grow crop and rice to support the unit. After the collapse of KR in 1979, she escaped from fighting of Vietnamese soldiers into the jungle. In that time, her living condition was hard because she challenged many issues both eating and disease. She then followed other KR forces to Dangrek Mountain when they came down from the mountain to seek their forces in the jungle. When KR forces fought to control in Anlong Veng from the Cambodian soldiers in 1990, she came down from the mountain to live Tumnup Dack. Afterward, she fled to O-Svay after attacking of the government soldiers via Trampong through Preah Vihear. Before the integration in late 1998, she came back home in Tumnup Dach because she did not want to follow Ta Mok fleeing to the mountain again.
