Summary

Lach Tol, farmer, lives in O-Romduol village, Preah Bralay commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province. He was born in Rovai village, Trapeang Russei commune, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province. His wife៌s name is Im Sok. She is his third wife whom he remarried when he left home to join KR in Dangrek Mountain. He has five children, three sons and two daughters. His father៌s name is Lach and his mother៌s name is Khim Ly. They passed away a few years ago. He has five brothers and a sister. He is forth child of his family.
For his childhood life, he did not get proper education system at school because his family could not support his study. In that time, he had just learnt little Khmer alphabet with monk at pagoda. After the coup in 1970, he followed his three brothers to join the revolution with KR movement in the jungle. In addition he said he wanted to bring peace for his country. In that time, He was selected to be a soldier to fight against Lon Nol soldiers at some districts in Kampong Thom, including Phnom Santuk, Kampong Chheuteal and Stung. When KR came to control in 1975, he stationed in Kampong Thom until the collapse of KR in 1979. After attacking from Vietnamese and Cambodian soldiers, he did not escape into the jungle with KR forces. He came back to live in his hometown.
In 1985, he joined KR forces situated in Dangrek Mountain along Cambodian-Thai border, because he heard that it was a better place to start new life. For his living condition in Kampong Thom, it was hard for him to support his daily living. When he arrived in the mountain, he was assigned to join Division 612 under control of Ta Hoeun (grandfather Hoeun). After KR forces fought to control Anlong Veng and Trapeang Prasat, he came down from the mountain to live in Preah Bralay. To date, he likes his present living condition because the country has no war and he lives happily with his family
