Tep Sarun alias Chan Poeun, male, 70 years old and lives in Banteay Chass village, Preah Pralay commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province. Poeun៌s wife is Chan Koeun. Peoun has 4 sons. Current, Poeun is a first deputy chief of Preah Pralay commune.
Poeun was born in Khvaing village, Bakk Kdaong commune, Rovieng district, Preah Vihear province. Poeun has two brothers and one sister. Peoun was in a cooperative in his home village during the KR regime between 1975 and 1979. The KR assigned him to work in rice field and carry earth as the same with other people in the cooperative. After the KR collapsed in 1979, Poeun was in his home village and worked in rice field. In 1985, Peoun followed his younger brother Le and climbed up Dangrek Mountain to live in Division 616. Le was a leader of division 616. Le came to visit his home village in Preah Vihear in 1985. In 1986, Peoun married to another lady and Peoun was promoted to supervise soldier families within Division 616. In 1989, Le was killed by Nhan៌s cronies because Le had conflict with Nhan who was a chief of division 616. Aftermath Poeun quitted from Division 616 and join with an independent regiment in Choam Sla refugee camp in Thailand territory. Vann Kosal was a chief of the regiment. In 1989, the regiment merged with Division 612. Hoeun was a chief and Vann kosal was a deputy chief of the division. Peoun was assigned to supervise soldier៌s families in the division. In 1990, Division 612 went down to live at Preah Pralay border checkpoint, and Hoeun created as a new commune. It is called Preah Pralay commune, and then Poeun was appointed to be a chief of the commune |
