Summary
Em Ieng, female, 52 years old and lives in Tuol Prasat village, Tomnop Dach commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province. Her husband is Nhoek Orn. Ieng is a farmer. Ieng was born in Tomnop village, Sraeng commune, Prasat Sambo district, Kampong Thom province. Ieng៌s father is Em Sam and her mother, Khoem Chuon. Ieng has three brothers and eight sisters. Ieng is first in her family. Ieng did not go to school when she was young. Ieng cannot able to read and write. After the KR gained power in 1975, the KR assigned Ieng to Child Mobile Unit. The unit was in Sraeng commune. The KR forced the children to carry earth, cut small grass; and produce fertilizer. In 1976, the KR sent Ieng to Youth Mobile Unit for carrying earth at 1 Makara Worksite Dam. In 1977, the KR selected Ieng to work in Chamkar Andaung Rubber Plantation. [Ta] Chim , [Ta] Ngorn alias Ket were leaders of the Plantation. Ieng added that her husband, Nhoek Orn was among bodyguard of [Ta] Chim. Ieng witnessed of soldiers killed people and put bodies inside a well of Chamkar Ta Pom. When the Vietnamese arrived in Cambodia in January, 1979 Ieng and other fled to her home village. Ieng married to her husband in 1982. In 1987, her husband took her to Dangrek Mountain. Ieng was in the KR៌s Kor 7 refugee camp. In 1990, Ieng went down to live at Kbal O-Chik of Anlong Veng area. Ieng moved to live in Tuol Prasat village in 1998.
