Chann Sein, female, 60 years old and lives in Tuol Prasat village, Tomnop Dach commune, Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province.
Sien was born in Tuol Thom village, Tralach commune, Koh Andet district, Takeo province. Sien has five sisters and brothers. Two among them died because of disease. Sien៌s father died since he was young; and her mother died in 1989. Sien was in her home village until 1975, and then the KR sent her to women unit in Tuol Thom Commune, District 18, Region 13of Southwest Zone.
In 1978, the KR sent Sien to live with her husband who was in Division 801 in Ratanak Kiri province. So Saroeun [05] was a chief of the Division. Sien was in O-Dambauk. In 1979, Sien, her husband; and children fled into forest to escape from the Vietnamese soldiers.
In 1980, Sien and her family crossed from east to west banks of Mekong River to climbed up Dangrek Mountain at Tonle Ropeou [KR military Base 1001]. Son Sen was chief of the base [1001]. In 1984, the Vietnamese took over Cambodia-Thailand border include the base [1001]. Sien was separated from her family and then Sien moved to the KR military base [1003] within Thailand territory.
In 1991, Sien moved to live in O-Chik of Anlong Veng area after the KR took over the area from the PRK soldiers. In 1998, Sien moved to live in Tuol Prasat village after the KR integrated with the Cambodian government.
