Lach Khorn aka Thun, working in division 290 company, confessed that Son Ra, chief of division 290 small unit, was convinced to work as traitor. In 1976, Son Ra received plan from Thoeun, chief of division 290 battalion, to gather remaining forces and people to flee to Vietnam in order to recruit them as soldiers to fight back the revolution. The plan fleeing to Vietnam was in February 1977.
ឈ្មោះ ឡាច ឃន ហៅ ធន់ អនុសេនាធំ កងពល ២៩០ បាន ឆ្លើយថា ឈ្មោះ សន់ រ៉ា ប្រធានកងតូចកងពល ២៩០ ជាមនុស្ស របស់ខ្លួនអប់រំឱ្យក្បត់បាន។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦ សន់ រ៉ា បានទទួល ផែនការពី ធឿន ប្រធានវរសេនាតូច កងពល ២៩០ ឱ្យប្រមូល កម្លាំងសេសសល់រត់ទៅយួន ប្រមូលប្រជាជននៅយួន បង្កជាកម្លាំង វាយបកមកបដិវត្ដវិញកំណត់ពេលរត់នៅខែ២-១៩៧៧។
