Summary / Abstract :

Ten years after the ousting of Pol Pot by the Vietnamese, the Khmer Rouge have rebuilt a guerrilla army of some 35,000 which is supplied by Peking and operates from base camps just inside Thailand. Since the Vietnamese have pledged to withdraw all their troops from Cambodia by 1990, a question have been raised as to whether the Khmer Rouge might make another bid for power, and whether the army of the government in Phnom Penh could resist them.
