The Khmer Rouge. The Cambodian communist come to power in April, 1975, after defeating the US backed regime of Lon Nol in five year guerrilla war. Information on the new Khmer Rouge government was limited. The primary goal appeared to be making Cambodia a self sufficient agriculture nation.
