A tank led Vietnamese force of 10.000 men drove past the ancient temples of Angkor Wat and closed in on the last two provincial capital still holding out in western Cambodia. Some of defeated Pol Pot government's leaders were near the Thai border negotiating through liason officiers for asylum in Thailand.
