More than 150.000 people fleed Vietnam and Laos last year about 2000.000 fewer than in 1979, the international Reseure committee said. He attributed the decline largely to the small number of ethnic Chinese remaining in Vietnam. Since 1975, more than 1.6 millions Indochinese have escaped to other lands.
