The Soviet Union has been defeated in an attempt to bar agroup of UN experts from reporting to the general Assembly an US charges that biological weapons are being used in Southeast Asia and Afganistan. Thailand's armed forces had evidence from leaf and water samples that Vietnamese army was using poisonous chemicals in Kampuchea.
