Summary / Abstract :

Cambodia became a French protectorate in 1864. Independence was declared in March 1945, when the Janpanese ended French Power in Indochina, but after ll world war, the French returned and had replaced King Sihanouk on the throne in 1941. He was visited the Soviet Union in March 1970 when he was ousted by Lon Nol (Cambodia history 1846-1981) (photos).
