Son Sann was willing to talk to the communist Khmer Rouge and Prince Sihanouk, about joining a coalition to try to drive Vietnamese troops out of Cambodia. Son Sann who previously had refuse to meet with the communist led by Khieu Samphan aid he would leave soon for Pe King.
