I am Heng Ngech Hong, a female, currently living in Damrei Chhlang Village, Sa-ang Phnom Commune, Sa-ang District, Kandal Province. I would like to file a complaint against the detention of my father, Sok Heng, in Tuol Sleng Prison.

My family lived in Prek Run Village, Prek Kory Commune, Sa-ang District, Kandal Province. When Phnom Penh was liberated in 1975, my family was still living in Prek Run Village. During the Khmer Rouge regime, I remember that my father was assigned to cook rice at Tuol Kra Saing in Kandal Province. After losing contact with him, my mother, whose name is Sai Kea, began to secretly ask people if they knew his whereabouts. My mother asked the people who lived with my father. She was told that “they [the Khmer Rouge] arrested and detained him in Koh Kor Prison.� This is the only information I knew about him. After the Vietnamese troops entered the country, my neighbors, who had visited Phnom Penh, told me that they saw my father’s photo at Tuol Sleng Prison. Not long after hearing this, I visited Tuol Sleng Prison and there I indeed saw his photo. Recently, the Documentation Center of Cambodia invited me to visit Tuol Sleng once again and I again saw my father’s photo there.
