Yuos Chhit aka Chum, commissioner of battalion 232, regiment 23, division 290, confessed that in September 1976, when the Free Khmer unit 290 and base 203 had arranged a demonstration straight into Phnom Penh in order to take Chakrei from the Party, Moeng Sopheap was taken responsible for preparing troop to protect the demonstration parade. Beside the carrying activities to convince people to disgust the revolutionary regime, Chum did not clarify clearly Sopheap's activity.
យស់ ឈិត ហៅ ជុំ ស្នងការវរសេនាតូច២៣២ វរសេនាធំ២៣ កងពល២៩០ បាននិយាយថា កាលពីខែ៩-១៩៧៦ ពេលដែលពួក ខ្មែរសេរីនៅ២៩០ និងមូលដ្ឋាន២០៣ បំរុងធើ្វបាតុកម្មចូល ក្រុងភ្នំពេញដើម្បីទាមទារចក្រី ពីបក្ស ម៉ឹង សូភាព មានភារៈរៀប ចំទ័ពសម្រាប់ការពារក្បួនបាតុកម្ម។ ក្រៅពីសកម្មភាពបំផុស ប្រជាជនអោយស្អប់របបបដិវត្ដ ជុំ មិនបានលំអិតពីសកម្មភាព ផេ្សងៗទៀតរបស់ សូភាព ទេ។
