Recent political and diplomatic events have promoted the most extensive overhaul of the UN annual resolution since it was first introduced more than a decade ago. The heavily revised draft, to go before the general assembly cater this year, will take account of the recent Jakarta Informal Meeting in Indonesia between parties to the conflict, and concerns over the possible post war return to power of the Khmer Rouge.
