Son Sann, Prime Minister of the Cambodian coalition government and President of the KPNLF, has announced that he wishes to take part in a personal capacity, in the meetings between the Cambodian parties, if Vietnam agrees to take part. However, HE Son Sann stressed that if, for whatever reason, Vietnam cannot take part, he wants Vietnam to make a solemn statement prior to these meeting by addressing a letter to the UN secretary General and particularly to the five countries which are the permanent members of the UN security council pledging to withdraw all its troops from Cambodia as quickly as possible following meeting of the four Cambodian factions.
