EXPECTATIONS and apprehension marked the second Jakarta informal Meeting (JIMJI) more so than at any previous peace talks on Cambodia. The expectations of a solution, whether partial or comprehensive, were raised by the speed with which old adversaries were prepared to talk seriously to each other- the Vietnamese and the Chinese, the Thai and the Keng Samrin regime.
