Summary / Abstract :
|
A large part of the sites, consisting mainly of temples and pagodas, have reportedly been damaged by the Khmer Rouge, who put the accent on economic change and are condemned for brutalities when in power between 1975-1978. A Khmer Rouge member represents the coalition Government of Democratic Kampuchea at the world's most prestigious body for the preservation of culture.
