In the talks in search of a [peaceful solution, we have adhered to four principles to protect at all costs the gains of national society, to maintain the independence and sovereignty of the state of Cambodia, to defend the right to self-determination of the Cambodian people; and to bring about a peaceful solution that would not bring the genocidal Pol Pot regime back to power.
