Summary / Abstract :
|
Local authorities are trying to seek the governments permission to open two border passes at this scenic province for trade with Cambodia, a senior official said yesterday. Thawat Poothisuthorm, governor of Si Ka Ket, told reporters that the two border passes, Chong Kampaka, should be opened because of they used to trans port timber, precious stones and jungle products from Cambodia, which are much cheaper than the commodities from Laos.
