Chum Chamreun, 24, was born in Lvea sub-district, Preah Sdech district, Prey Veng province. Chamreun was a chief of platoon, battalion 112. Chamreun initially joined the army in company 12. In 1973, Sun indoctrinated Chamreun to serve for the Free Khmer activities. In August 1975, Sun assigned Chamreun to infiltrate into air forces unit in preparation for carrying out activities in July 1976 to overthrow Phnom Penh.
ឈ្មោះ ជុំ ចំរើន អាយុ ២៤ឆ្នាំ កើតនៅឃុំល្វា ស្រុកព្រះសេ្ដច ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។ មានតួនាទីជាប្រធានអនុសេនាតូចក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច ១១២ ចូលធ្វើកងទ័ពដំបូងនៅក្នុងអង្គភាពអនុសេនាធំ១២។ ១៩៧៣ ស៊ុន បានអប់រំចំរើន ឱ្យចូលបំរើសកម្មភាពខ្មែរសេរី។ ក្នុងខែ៨-១៩៧៥ ស៊ុន បានចាត់តាំងចំរើនឱ្យបង្កប់នៅកងអាកាស ជាមួយខ្លួនដើម្បីចាំធ្វើសកម្មភាពនៅខែ៧-១៩៧៦ គឺវាយសង្គ្រប់ រំដោះភ្នំពេញ។
