The Khmer Rouge have two representatives on Cambodia's Supreme National Council, the group set up to bring peace to the country. Mr Khieu Samphan was the obvious choice for one place. He has become a familiar figure in the Cambodian negotiations, nearly dressed, ever smiling, endeavoring to show that there is a respectable side to the masters of the killing fields.
