Phnom Penh government forces launched an attack on guerrilla positions in Northwestern Cambodia, guerrilla sources said Yesterday. The surprise attack, involving about 300 Phnom Penh government troops supported by heavy artillery, began early Friday and lasted for eight hours, the sources said.
