US Oil companies look set to fall feather behind in the race to invest in Vietnam as European and Asian rivals take advantage of their government's more liberal position toward dealings with Hanoi. Washington is expected to maintain its ban on US investment and trade with its former enemy for at least six months, despite the removal of a sticking point with last week's signing of a peace treaty for neighboring Cambodia.
