In 1970, Sim joined the Free Khmer with the indoctrination of In Tam. Seng, major, dispatched Sim to infiltrate into units in Koh Sotin District. Sim persuaded soldiers to defect from their lines and to have sexual misconduct. Sim also prompted people at Muk Kampoul to stage riot against the revolution and provoked problems from unit to unit.
នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧០ ស៊ីម ចូលធ្វើខ្មែរសេរីតាមការអូសទាញរបស់អ៊ិន តាំ ហើយឈ្មោះ សេង សក្ដិ៤ បានឱ្យស៊ីមទៅបង្កប់ខ្លួននៅអង្គភាព ស្រុកកោះសូទិន។ ស៊ីម បានបំផុសយុទ្ធជនឱ្យរត់ចោលជួរ បំផុស យុទ្ធជនឱ្យខូចសីលធម៌បំផុសប្រជាជនឱ្យកុប្បកម្មនៅមុខកំពូលប្រឆាំង បដិវត្ដនិង បង្កទំនាស់ពីអង្គភាពមួយទៅអង្គភាពមួយ។
