My name is Him Hoeun. I am 64 years old and currently live in Tbaung Kdei Village, Bakou Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province.
The Killing of my Brother-in-law: At the end of 1976, a Khmer Rouge soldier (name unknown) accused my brother-in-law, Uy Tuy, of eating human flesh. The soldier may have done this because of personal hatred, using this charge as a premise to execute my brother-in-law. I learned the story from my elder sister Him Chamreun, who is no longer alive. There were two to three Khmer Rouge soldiers interrogating my brother-in-law at Bakan Village, Leach Commune, Bakan District, Pursat Province. I don’t know who should bear the responsibility for the killing of my brother-in-law or how he was executed. I feel sorry for him and I am angry over the unjust death of innocent people. |
