Over 100 ethnic Kampuchean passengers on Vira ship no. 11 were not permitted to take off the ship. They all were anxious to go back to Kampuchea because of missing wives, children and families. On 26 March 1976, at 11:20, after Vira ship no. 11 left the dock for only three kilometers, Hok Ly killed deputy commander captain Mann Diriset [Indonesian]who countered his group. Radio controller who communicated with Singaporeans jumped into the water but was struck by a bullet. An Indonesian Major Tuon Tour Karul was held hostage, but got released after Vira ship left Singapore. Vira ship no. 11 arrived at Kep and and was captured by the Khmer Rouge there.
នៅលើកប៉ាល់វីរ៉ាលេខ ១១ មានអណិកជនកម្ពុជាជាង១០០នាក់ នៅសឹង្ហបូរីជាអ្នដំណើរលើកប៉ាល់ ពួកនេះគ្មានសិទ្ធឡើងគោកទេ។ ពួកនេះមានការអន្ទះអន្ទែងចង់មកកម្ពុជាវិញព្រោះនឹកប្រពន្ធកូននិង គ្រួសារ។ នៅថ្ងៃ២៦-៣-១៩៧៦ម៉ោង១១៉២០នាទីកប៉ាល់វីរ៉ាលេខ ១១ចេញដំណើរកប៉ាល់នេះចេញពីសឹង្ហបូរី៣គីឡូម៉ែត្រឈ្មោះ ហុក លីបានសម្លាប់សក្ដិ៣ជាបញ្ជាការរងឈ្មោះម៉ាន់ឌីរីសេត«ជនជាតិឥណ្ឌូ ្ឌូនេស៊ី»ដែលព្រឆាំងនឹងក្រុមខ្លួន។ អ្នកកាន់វិទ្យុទាក់ទងជនជាតិសង្ហឹងបូរី លោតចុះទឹកហើយត្រូវគ្រាប់កាំ ភ្លើងមួយគ្រាប់។ ចំណែកសក្ដិ៤ ជាតិឥណ្ឌូនេស៊ីឈ្មោះទួនតួការុលត្រូវបានចាប់ជាចំណាប់ខ្មាំង។ តែបានដោះលែងវិញនៅពេលកប៉ាល់វីរ៉ាចេញផុតពីសឹង្ហបូរី។ កប៉ាល់វីរ៉ាលេខ១១បានមកដល់កែបហើយត្រូវខ្មែរក្រហមចាប់ បាននៅទីនោះតែម្ដង។
