According to the Ministry of Defense France will leave several dozen troops in Cambodia after the end of the UNTAC mission which should happen in August or September. (Defense Minister) Francois leotard explains that these troops will contribute to the rebirth of a Cambodian army under the the authority of a legitimate government.
