|
The source of the National army in its attack against the " Khmer Rouge " base of Phum Chat was not according to generals on the spot as successful as official government reports have claimed. Villagers were taken by surprise and rapidly decided to surrender but Thai army forces then intervened to evacuate the NADK forces and their families to Thailand.
