|
On November 09, 1953, with the departure of French troops and the transfer of the attributes of sovereignty still held by France, Cambodia recovered its full independence. In August 1958, at the same time as negotiations began in Bangkok, the Thai Government declared a state of emergency in its provinces bordering on Cambodia.
