The Khmer Rouge forced Makk Kan to build dams and to carry soil while she was pregnant. After gave her child birth, Kan was allowed to look after her baby for only three months old and then she had to go to do farming. Kan now suffers from high blood pressure and dizziness.
ខ្មែរក្រហមបង្ខំ ម៉ក់ កន ធ្វើការលើកទំនប់ រែកដី ទាំងពោះធំ។ ក្រោយពីឆ្លងទន្លេ កន ត្រូវមើលថែកូនក្មេងរហូតបានបីខែ បានចុះទៅធ្វើស្រែចំការវិញ។ សព្វថ្ងៃនេះ កនមានជំងឺប្រចាំកាយដូចជាលើសឈាម និងវិលមុខ។
