On January 25, we spoke to Nishiyama (deputy director general, Asian affairs Bureau in the foreign Ministry ) about the SRV / Kampuchea border dispute . We asked in particular how he assessed Vietnamese intentions and what he thought were the prospects for and early settlement to the conflict.
