Summary / Abstract :

Two U.S. press correspondents Herndan (UPI) and Mcarthur (AP) acting on information given in Saigon attempted Oa recce of track from (1=500,000 series l 70ll sheet 4246 1/ 501185 - 585154 on 14 wov 67. some 600 m from Route 07 there were obvious signs of a Vietcong base camp. Cambodian military guide was obviously surprised and refused to go further until protective troops could be provided.
