On 19th May 1969, At very short notice, press attaches at diplomatic mission in Phnom Penh were invited by the ministry of foreign affairs to travel surrendered to the Cambodian government in the Phnom Melai area, A number of Thai civilian and military personnel said to have been captured in the same area, and arms equipment surrendered or captured during to operation.
