Summary / Abstract :

Please refer to our savingram No 19 of 30 September, 1970 in which we reported the closure of the Spanish Embassy in Phnom Penh. Attached for your information is copy of a circular note sent to diplomatic mission in Phnom Penh setting out the reason which led to its closure here. Briefly the note states that:
a) The Spanish Ambassador in Bangkok will now be dually accredited to the Cambodian government ( in the same way as the Cambodian Ambassador in Paris is to the Spanish government b) An honorary consul for Spain resident in Phnom Penh will soon be appointed. |
