Danh Heng was born in Prek Siem village, Khleang sub-district, Khlaing Ong district, Kampuchea Krom. At the age of 15, he was a monk of Sovann Reangsy pagoda, Kramuon Sa province, and joined the Free Khmer in 1973 with Thach being an introducer. He had the task of collecting rice to be provided to the Free Khmer soldiers. In 1976, he attended the meeting and had Matt's plots to storm attack Kampuchea and spied out the information from Kampuchean soldiers on 11 November 1976.
ដាញ់ ហេង កើតនៅភូមិព្រែកសៀម ឃុំឃ្លាំង ស្រុកក្លាំងអុងកម្ពុជា ក្រោម ។ អាយុ ១៥ បួសនៅវត្ដសុវណ្ណរង្សី ខេត្ដក្រមួនស ចូល ខ្មែរសេរីនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ដែលមានឈ្មោះ ថាច់ ឡាន ជាអ្នក នាំចូល មានភារៈប្រមូលស្រូវអង្ករ ចិញ្ចឹមទ័ពខ្មែសេរី។ ១៩៧៦ ចូលរូម ប្រជុំទទួលផែនការវាយលុកកម្ពុជាពីមេឈ្មោះ ម៉ាត់ ចូលស៊ើបការ នៅកម្ពុជាត្រូវកងទ័ពយើងចាប់បានថ្ងៃ១១-១១-១៩៧៦។
