Imagaqa (Japanese Councillor) said that, during conflict in late April 1975 Japanese ambassador to Peking had informed GRUNK of willingness to recognize in about July 1975 they had received a reply thanking them. In late April 1976 Japanese ambassador to Peking again indicated willingness to enter into relations Cambodian warming welcomed this "in principle and subject to negotiation".
